On 14th June 2018, A trilateral meeting between the University of Paris-Saclay, the Department of Polymer Science and Engineering of ZJU and the School of Materials Science and Engineering of ZJU was held.

University of Paris-Saclay was established on 29th December 2014. It is a combination of two universities and ten grande écoles and seven institutes, including Ecole Polytechnique, HEC Paris, Centrale-Supélec, Université Paris-Sud, Université de Versailles-Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines, etc. There are ten research directions in the University of Paris-Saclay, containing chemistry, electron optics and engineering, mathematics, physics, materials, cosmic science, life science, humanities and computer science.

During the meeting, the three sides gave a brief introduction of their own research areas and exchanged ideas in research and teaching. The understanding of each other has been promoted and an intention of deeper cooperation was clear after meeting.

Prof. Gilles Bloch, president of the University of Paris-Saclay, Mr. Guillaume Garreta, head of the office of international relations of the University of Paris-Saclay, Mr. Fabien Chareix, Educational consul of France in Shanghai, Mr. Gaétan Messin , technological consul of France in Shanghai, Mr. Rengong Ren, party Secretary of the Department of Polymer Science and Engineering, Prof. Hanying Li, deputy department head of the Department of Polymer Science and Engineering, and Prof. Chao Gao, Prof. Gaorong Han, head of the School of Materials Science and Engineering, Mr. Faxiang Qin, research professor attended the meeting. Mr. Zhengming Hu, head of the Office of Cooperation and Communication of the Office of International Relations, hosted the meeting.
