Mr. José Augusto Duarte, Ambassador of Portugal in Beijing, visited the Portugal-China Joint Innovation Centre For Advanced Materials in Zhejiang University with his delegation.

The Portugal-China Joint Innovation Centre was the first international technology cooperation centre founded in Zhejiang University in 2013. It focused on biomedicine, ecomaterials, energy materials and nanotechnology.

Prof. Qiang Zheng met with Mr. José Augusto Duarte and his delegation. He said that the centre integrated industrial innovation capacity of two countries and Zhejiang University would provide continued resource of high quality to develop the centre.

Mr. José Augusto Duarte expected the centre to radiate cooperation in broader areas and to output prospective achievements .

The delegation visited laboratories of the centre after the meeting. The head of the Portugal-China Joint Innovation Centre, Prof. Jian Ji, introduced laboratories.
