About the speaker:

Guocan Yu was born in Zhejiang, China in 1987. He received his BS degree in polymer materials and engineering from Hefei University of Technology in 2010. He received his PhD in Chemistry from the Zhejiang University in 2015 under the mentorship of Prof. Feihe Huang. During this period, he was selected as an outstanding Ph.D student to participate in the 63rd Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting (Lindau, Germany, 07/2013) and the 2nd Global Young Scientists Summit (NTU, Singapore, 01/2014). Then he joined Dr. Xiaoyuan (Shawn) Chen’s Laboratory of Molecular Imaging and Nanomedicine (LOMIN) at the National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering (NIBIB), National Institutes of Health (NIH), as a postdoctoral research fellow. His current research interests are mainly focused on smart nanomedicines and supramolecular theranostics. He has published over 85 papers (H-index = 30, total citations>4100 based on Google Scholar) on supramolecular chemistry and theranostics in Nat. Commun., Proc. Natl Acad. Sci. USA, J. Am. Chem. Soc., Chem. Rev., Adv. Mater., Chem. Soc. Rev., Adv. Funct. Mater., ACS Nano, Chem. Sci., Mater. Horiz., Org. Lett., Chem. Commun., Small, Polym. Chem., etc.
