Acting as the leading membrane R&D institutions, the Engineering Research Center of Membrane and Water Treatmentat Zhejiang University (China) and the Center for Membrane and Film Technology at Kobe University (Japan), these two center began education and research cooperation from 2014 under the signed guidelines including “Agreement of Scientific Cooperation” and Memorandum of Understanding”. During the past five year, under the direction of Prof. Bao-Ku Zhu (Zhejiang Univeristy) and Prof. Hideto Matsuyama (Kobe University), these two center have co-organized several international conference/Symposium, including Conference of the Aseanian Membrane Society, Asian Student Symposium on Membrane Engineering and International Workshop on Membrane in Kobe etc. In the past five years, over 50 students and professors visit each other center. As well, two mater students and two PhD students from the membrane center of ZJU entered center of Kobe for higher education or position. So far, 5 co-authored high level paper have published. In the coming cooperation, the joint researchers on membrane materials and processes aiming at medicals and medicines are proceeding smoothly. In 2019, the co-organized Asian Student Symposium on Membrane Engineering will be hold at Zhejiang University.
